The Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library,in association with former English tour operator John Goldsmith, are offering an 11 night tour to the Republic of Ireland from September 8 to September 20, 2012. The group will spend three days in Dublin before setting off on a tour that will include much of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery, as well as many historic and archeological locations. Accommodations will be at some of Ireland’s finest 4 and 5 star hotels, including the magnificent Ashford Castle Hotel, consistently voted the country’s finest hotel.
Highlights of the tour will include The Ring of Kerry, The Dingle Peninsula, the lovely region of Connemara, and the Lakes of Killarney. There will be wonderful meals and time for shopping.
Cost of the tour is $ 4216 per person, double occupancy, with a single supplement of $785. The price includes bus transportation from Schenectady to New York, round trip air fare , all meals (the exception being in Dublin where only breakfast is covered), and all entrance fees.
